When supplying files to be printed it is essential
that they fulfil our print requirements. Any files that are not
print-ready will need to be re-supplied or adjusted by Century 23
for a fee (£15).
We are unable to accept links to files as file supply,
due to inconsistencies in operating systems which may result in
corruption of file extension on download. Either place files on
the ftp site or email them.
Colour Mode
All files must be supplied in CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow &
Black).
Resolution (dpi)
All files must be supplied with a resolution of 300dpi (dots
per inch).
Bleed
All files must be supplied with a 3mm bleed.
Please ensure that IN ADDITION to the 3mm bleed all text or important
images are a further 3mm within the crop area (i.e. 6mm from document
edge).
File Formats
Artwork must be supplied in one of the following file formats:
PSD (Photoshop), Illustrator EPS (with text converted to outlines), InDesign,
PDF, AI (Illustrator 8), TIFF, or JPEG.
We also accept QXD (Quark Express) files. However, items consisting
of 2pp (printed pages) or less incur a £25
export fee.
Please note that banner artwork must be supplied in EPS format
(with text converted to outlines).
We do not accept Pagemaker, Freehand CorelDraw or Publisher files.
All of
these programs will allow you to export an EPS and you should do so, testing to ensure it rasterises
in Photoshop or similarly perfectly. On rare occasions we will accept Microsoft Word or Excel
artwork if it appears onscreen exactly how it needs to be printed.
Dimensions
All files must be supplied in the proper dimensions.
